"Panja Gali" and its surroundings are
fast becoming tourist attraction due its scenic beauty, cool weather and
tranquility. A newly constructed metalled road leads to the area. This
lush green area is located some 60 KMs North West of District Mansehra,
KPK, or about 200KMs North of Islamabad.
The top point Panja Gali is about 8300 feet high from mean sea level which makes it even higher than Murree. The meandering River Indus and scattered population on vast mountain ranges looks so amazing from these heights. In my opinion, the whole area is more beautiful than Murree except living and food facilities are not available yet(therefore come prepared if you are planning to). Temperature in peak summer i.e. in July remains around 20 degrees C or low. Since area is purely hilly, powerful petrol vehicle with skilled driving is required.
